All Purpose Flour Child Turns One! (& A Giveaway!)

Hooray!  The blog is officially one today!  I can hardly believe it's been a whole year already!  In some ways it's felt entirely longer and in others the time time has passed in the blink of an eye!  Here's a few highlights that have happened over the past year:

I got a real-deal camera!  I have a Nikon D3300 and I use a 50mm lens

Believe it or not, up until early Spring this year, I shot all the photos for the blog on my iPhone!  Granted, the iPhone camera is capable of some pretty incredible things nowadays but I decided I needed invest in a solid DSLR if I truly wanted to take the blog seriously and take it to the next level.  I still have so much to learn but it's been really fun dabbling in photography more!

66 blog posts!  here's some of my favorites (and yours!)

This year I was also lucky enough to make a ton of awesome insta-friends through the blog!  Thank you to each and every one of you for following me over the past year and supporting me!  It truly means the world to me that you take the time to hop over to my little corner of the internet and see what it's all about. It's been so much fun and I can't wait to see what amazing things the next year holds!  Aaaand.... To say thank you, I'm having a little giveaway!  I wanted to do something special to show my appreciation so I put together some of my absolute favorite goodies to share with all of you!  And India Tree was kind enough to provide some goodies for you, too!

Here's what you'll get if you win!

These awesome goodies from India Tree!

Chocolate Decoratifs

Nature's Colors Carnival Mix Sprinkles

Dark Muscovado Sugar

Why I love India Tree
I love their selection of top-notch sprinkles and sparkling sugars and their specialty sugars.  And they're a local Seattle company, too!

My favorite kitchen towels from Ikea.  I don't actually use them as towels but they make great props for food styling!

Assorted Weck Jars.  I'm obsessed with jars in general but Weck especially.  They're designed for canning but I love using them for storing anything and everything!  And they're like, really pretty.

My favorite Anthro candle!  I love just about every scent this candle comes in but Espresso is my favorite.  I know, who coulda guessed right?

Prettiest hue of paper straws from Revel & Co.  Seriously, I almost kept these for myself!

My favorite Rifle Paper Co. Weekly Desk Pad.  Most people probably keep their to-dos and appointments in their phones these days, but I still love writing things down by hand on paper.  I use my desk pad for keeping upcoming blog posts + tasks organized.

The prettiest set of pocket notebooks from Rifle Paper Co.

East Timor Starbucks Reserve Coffee.  You know I couldn't not include some coffee.  I selected a special Reserve coffee which has been sun-dried, my favorite processing method.  That's means that the fruity cherry-like outside of the beans have been left in the sun to dry on the bean, rather than being pulped and removed right after picking.  That means all the fruity flavor is imparted in the bean.  So incredibly flavorful!

My favorite sleepy time tea, Tranquil Dream from Teavana.

The best baking parchment, ever from If You Care.  It's unbleached, compostable, and completely environmentally friendly.

Maldon Salt, an essential in my kitchen.  The large pyrimid shapes are aesthetically pleasing but it also has a really nice soft salty flavor.  It's much more subtle than say kosher salt.  I use it in everything. Sweet and savory.  It's especially good sprinkled over cookies.

Nielsen Massey Madagascar Pure Vanilla Bean Paste, I use this way more liberally than I should.  But it's so good!
